ABOUT US
We are a group of Santa Barbara County residents who are 100% devoted to supporting and raising awareness about our local service men and women.
There are several groups and organizations that provide great services to our veterans, but operate under the radar and generally go unnoticed.
Santa Barbara Veterans Foundation (SBVF) works hard to raise funds to keep the programs going and helping our local vets!
No one receives a salary and all funds raised by SBVF stay and support Veterans within Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo and Ventura County..
OUR MISSION
Support veterans' programs in our own backyard!
Including:
Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Local Chapter #37 // Van upkeep and maintenance
- Providing transportation for local veterans and their families to airport, doctor appointments, grocery shopping, and a variety of other needs
Santa Barbara Scholarship Foundation // SBVF funds a scholarship for the children of active and retired Veterans who attend local County high schools with plans on attending college.
Hearts Therapeutic // Operation Unbridled Freedom
- Assisting veterans transition back into civilian life, providing training and reach personal goals using horses
GFWC Town and Country Women's Club // Take a Vet to Lunch & Pizza 4 Veterans Projects
- Take a Vet to Lunch - bringing local men and women together for lunch veterans in our community
- Pizza 4 Veterans- take pizza, fruit, cookies, and water to veterans at the local VA clinic
University of California Santa Barbara Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans Association
Lompoc Valley Fallen Warriors Project ...and many more deserving veterans groups.
